Dan’s House Studio has been serving musicians in eastern Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley (and beyond) since 1997.

We’ve covered a lot of different styles of music over the years, and work with artists in the local scene along with collaborating online with studios and artists all over the world. We’ve done soundtracks and voiceovers for TV, radio & film, and always continue to compose music for licensing.

The studio is owned and operated by myself, Dan McKinney. My background is that of a musician who always loved the process of recording. My musical life started with classical piano as a kid, and my first two favorite records in 1972 an old Booker T’s & the MG’s album and Wendy Carlos’ “Switched on Bach”. I ditched classical piano in college in favor of improvisation and “electronic” music, and once I hit the bar scene, I played for years in a garage/psychedelic band, with stints in indie rock bands and blues/rock bands and innumerable solo piano gigs sprinkled in over the years.
The studio features Steinberg’s Nuendo as the heart of it’s DAW, giving us the ability to swing between pure audio recordings and fully composed projects created “inside the box”.

A pile of nice mics and great preamps combined with a room big enough to host a full band gives us the capability to record up to 24 tracks live, while our powerful computer and massive bank of high-quality samples allows us to build impressive virtual sonic soundscapes.
